I'm in the minority here since I too have the quartz model. I have auto's and quartz watches both. I've also owned a SMP auto, sold it a few years back, missed the styling and got a new quartz SMP. What I don't miss is having to wind and reset it each time I leave it unworn for a few days. I enjoy the accuracy of quartz and for
that will deal with the occasional battery change.
If the SMP was available only in auto, I would still buy it but since I have the option of getting the same case and bracelet in a quartz model for less money, that will always be my choice. When you buy the SMP, the majority of the cost is for the case, bracelet, marketing, etc., and not the movement anyway.
