True, but it sounds like they are making... (more)

...evolutionary changes to their basic model. If they are coming out with a basic Seamaster Dive watch that has the same face and hands that every other Seamaster since the Anniversary watch has had, then it looks to me like they are phasing in a new style. Kinda like new headlights on a car. One year a single car in the Ford line has these new headlights and the others have the old ones. The next year you can't get the old headlights because they have phased in the new ones.

Same with the Rolex Sub, and quite frankly, the Seamaster itself. All these watches tend to change over the years. If they choose to change the basic Seamaster model in favor of the new face/hands and not continue to offer the old one, it is somewhat unfortunate, because I really like the current style (although I can see how some would prefer the solid hands so they can see the time better).

On the other hand, Omega would have to be pretty stupid to change a model style without continuing to offer the old one when it has just received a lot of extra publicity from the latest Bond movie. Who knows? I await further word/rumors on other changes and additions to the Omega lines leading up to Basel.
