I just bought my first automatic - a speedmaster day-date model. I have trouble getting it started. I pull the crown out one position and wind it multip,e times, push it in and move the watch around slowly in a circular movement, but this does not seem to get the watch moving. After about ten minutes it finally begins to move? Can someone help explain what is the correct way to do it? Also, how do you set the day/date?
