More info on Invicta...
In Response To: Re: Avoid fakes and get an.... ()

: Interesting . . . I had not heard of Invicta.
: Can you say a little more about them? Where
: are they manufactured? How long have they
: been going etc?

I am not sure where the company is based, but they have a USA service center and use superb Japanese watch movements. Invicta has been around for at least several decades -- you can find vintage Invictas in vintage watch shops.

Many of the regulars on TimeZone.com's main forum have gotten them and been pretty happy. There is a highly detailed review of the Invicta Sub at http://www.timezone.com/webbbs/wr_cgibin/wr.cgi?read=287.

Also, for a real deal, try www.ashford.com who is an Invicta dealer, but stop by at this site first: http://www.hotdealfinder.com/deals/ashford.html to pick up some killer Ashford coupons before ordering. With the $25 off a $35 purchase, or $75 off a $100 purchase, you can pick up the quartz Sub for about $40 or the automatic for $53. These coupons are only good until March 1.
