Re: Pie Pan Questions
In Response To: Pie Pan Questions ()

: Hello,

: I'm seriously considering buying a vintage
: Omega.
: I currently have a quartz Seamaster 120, and a
: Speedy auto. I figure a vintage Constellation
: will make a nice addition. The look of the pie
: pan face really appeals to me.

: Is there anything special I need to know about
: purchasing a vintage watch? I've been checking
: all the on-line places, artoftime, watchseller,
: bernard, wingate, etc. Anywhere else to look?

: Regarding budget, I'd like to keep the price
: under $500 (really in the $300 range but I
: would
: spend more for a really perfect watch). I don't
: care about gold face or anything like that,
: steel is nice too.

: So, am I crazy, or can this be done? Finally,
: if anyone knows of good stores in the NY Metro
: area that carry vintage Omega's, I'd love to
: hear it.

: Thanks,
: Barry

This can be done easily. But you are getting a ss version, not gold. Go for a 551 movement (w/o date) or 561 (date).
