Omega Seamaster De Ville (1964) needs repair-help!

My husband received an Omega Seamaster DeVille from his Dad for his graduation in 1964. (That is the only descriptive that I have- don't know the model number, the original watch band color, if it is white gold or titanium or anything like that.) He loves this watch and it stopped running several months ago. He has had it into the one and only good repair shop in Portland, Maine 3 times now. They keep the watch for weeks while they wait for parts then tell him it is fixed. Each time he has brought it home, he finds it runs for a few hours or days and then it is broken again. We thought that sending it back to Omega might be the answer but have no idea how to do that. Do you have any suggestions?
