: Derek, it seems to me that the Seamaster 2000s

: the Seamaster 300 design. What years did
: Omega produce the 300s? Do they pre-date the
: Pre-Bond "Pros?"

I think the Seamaster 300 dive watches were early 1980's as Omega was coming out of the funky-watch mode of the 1970's. But I have not official source on that, just rough recollection.

But that would place them way earlier than the Per-Bond Pros which were introduced in the late 1980's.

There are many cases where Omega has drawn from their much earlier designs -- sometimes with only small changes -- as a new model years or decades later. One example that came to my attention recently was a Constellation that someone thought was clearly a fake of a current model. It turned out that is was a real Constellation from 1982 that is almost identical to the 1995-2000 Constellation except for some bezel and dial markings.
