Not just a pretty face

Picked up my SMPD 300 (2552.20) last Thursday. First auto ever. It's beautiful. Hasn't lost or gained a second. Well, I haven't actually correlated to quartz or Zulu yet but it can't hurt to wish. Went down to the coast over the weekend. Salt water, fresh water, beach, fishing. I held my breath on the water res. test but it worked perfectly. It's a treasure but it must be a work horse when I need it.

A comment and a question. First, this site is excellent. Thanks. Second, I've read on the FAQ page to let a professional do the exterior cleaning if you don't know what your doing for fear of harsh abraisives and such. I've aquired a couple of very small character markings on the besel and the clasp. Can anyone give some tips on regular cleaning that I can do myself? Not just for very small scratches but primarily for just keeping the case and bracelet looking good (i.e., between links).

Thanks, db
