Omega Seamaster Calendar - Self winding -circa '56

I have an Omega Seamaster Calendar, self winding watch. It is stainless with the original stainless band. It has a white face, gold numbers
and the date is in the 6 o'clock position.

I purchased this watch new when I was a sophomore in high school in ~1956. It is in very good to excellent condition. I had a watchmaker take it apart just yesterday to verify that it does not need cleaning, etc. The date is just a little off center and the jeweler said not to mess with it unless I was fanatical about it.

I live in Southern California, Valencia to be exact. I have no emotional attachment to this watch.

The Jewler valued it at between $450 to $500 as it has the original band. I'm not sure that it may not be worth more than this.

Anyone interested? If so please contact me at:

I might not be able to get right back to you as I'm having surgery sometime in the next couple of weeks... I HOPE!

Thank you,
