planet ocean

hey all, I currently own a 1999 Tag Heuer Sel series, which I am proud to say has always kept excellent time. However I recently acquired my 1600 ton 1st mates license, (I am a merchant marine) and decided to reward myself by purchasing a new Omega. I really appreciate the style and weight of the Planet Ocean with the orange bezel and stainless bracelet, although I'm aware it strays from the classic Omega look. My question is, has anyone any information about the reliability of this particular model? and its ability to withstand prolonged exposure to the marine enviroment? is it a true Seamaster with slightly different cosmetics? any stories of first hand owners? I know the design is fairly radical and most who post here are vintage afficionado's but I assure you in me you'll find a dedicated supporter of the brand, given it lives up to its reputation.
