That only applied for a certain period of time. So the absence of the star means nothing. It does not indicate that a watch is inferior or lacking an upgrade. Omega did not keep putting the star on watches to differentiate them after that one year's production run.

That's the problem with these internal issues becoming public. It can cause owners to unnecessarily be concerned because their watch does or doesn't have a particular mark.
