I think that the crown is supposed to be held in place via a tiny screw inside the movement. Omega obviously didn't tighten it enough. There actually was another similar post about this exact sitauation (albeit with a 2254.50 the black diver SMP, I've included the link below).

I've also read from various sources that the crown stem of the cal.1120 is a little on the weak side too..... But there has not been many complaints about any problems about the 1120 though. It has proven to be a reliable movement.

Oh, and yes, this should be covered by warranty.....
