I have a PO and dont see the need for it either
In Response To: PO Anti-Reflective Coating ()

My PO had some scratches on it when I bought it, in fact, its one of the reasons the prior owner decided to sell it. I was able to use a little hairspray and some elbow grease to "minimize" them and they are hardly noticeable.

I wouldn't let that be a deciding factor for you in purchasing a PO, as it overall is a fine watch. As John said, the Coating can be removed if it gets scratched. I personally also feel that its overkill on Omega's part. I have the SMP 2054.50 with the coating on just the inside that is just fine. Its also not likely that removing it will reduce the resale value, as I doubt that anyone would complain about it not being there.
