I agree 100% (more)

: Michel,

: Believe you me, I know exactly what you're going through. Being a
: died-in-the-wool cheapskate, the very thought of spending a grand or two
: on a wristwatch nearly gives me an ulcer. I only recently allowed myself
: to indulge in what has been an enthusiasm of mine for many years.

: Before I buy a watch, I research, research, reconsider, research some more,
: compare, put it out of my mind, make one pros-and cons list after another,
: then research some more. Ultimately, by the time I buy a watch - or, for
: that matter, anything else I can really do without - I am very pleased
: with what I have.

On my behalf, I have an IWC mark XII, a Breitling Aerospace, a JLC Master moon and a vintage Titus 14K chrono from the 50's, and I really enjoy each of them. I used to have a IWC UTC (nice but too heavy and too large), a Breitling Navitimer 92 (a real piece of junk) and a speedy auto, which is nice but not that nice… I've been thinking of the Blancpain Flyback for months, but I just can't spend so much money on a watch, even such a masterpiece, it just seems crazy (though cheaper than a Ferrari,or even a Lada, I agree). So, I think I'll stick to the speedy pro, I've loved it ever since I saw Neil walking on the moon… But I'm not in a hurry, so… I'll wait till my ulcer comes down…

Best Regards Alain
