: Mine looks fine to me, but I've read about this
: on zOwie before. I suspect it's just a
: matter of perception. Remember, you've spent
: a lot of money on that watch, and you're
: scrutinizing it in minute detail.

: It's not correct, but it's very common. From
: what I've read, very few SMPs change date
: bang-on 12 right out of the box. Mine
: changes at between six and five minutes
: BEFORE midnight. One cause is that the date
: change gear itself is out of alignment
: (changing the date yourself between 10pm and
: 2am can exacerbate this); another is that
: the hands are not placed correctly on the
: movement. Apparently this is very easily
: fixed -- my SMP is currently with Omega
: having this done.

: That definitely needs attention. Take it back
: to your dealer.

I also have a SMP Calibre 1164 and I'm looking for answers on the correct date change time.
My SMP fully completes it's date change at 12.40pm exactly the same time as Jeff's watch, which would leave me to believe that this is quite normal and there is no need for concern ie. the coincidence of two watches changing date at precisely 12.40pm, would lead one to draw the conclusion that this is fairly standard and that anyone with cal 1164 should be happy that this is fairl normal wouldn't you think? .
Please comment......
