Nope, the watch hasn't been subjected to any major shocks or jolts, just everyday normal wear , just as it has been for the last two years. With Christmas coming, it might be a a few days before I can get it back to a watch shop. Will keep you guys posted on the progress. Thanks for the help.

Still on the subject though, how does a watch become magnetised? It didn't go anywhere near a magnet :-)
