New omega date

Just got my new Omega Speedmaster Date. Before, I had a seiko and a casio. Both are still running, 15 years and 10 years. Good watches to say the least. Always wanted a fine watch didn't know what I wanted. Went to a recent auction an my wife placed a bid on a rolex, don't know anything about rolex. She wanted me to have it, but we lost, went for 1700. Did another watch and that one went for 2700, 18K gold.
Now i'm thinking to myself, I don't like the look of rolex that much and it was just a name, i'm not big into brand names alone.
Keeping this short, she kept on pushing me to get a nice watch, Omega came to my head. I was the first watch my dad talked about as I remeber.
Well I is beautiful, I love it. I'm just afraid I might get hooked and start geting more watches and winders and post stories like this. But I know why now.
