Another US AD bites the dust

Was in a local Mall with my wife as she wanted to get an outfit for our daughter, figured while we were there I would pop into the Ross Simons and check out Omega as they always have a nice selection. Beelined back to the watch case with my Wife and daughter and was greeted by a nice saleswoman, she asked if there was anything I was looking for (knew where the Omega's were and was looking in that direction)...I asked, Omega?, and she said no, that they no longer carry the brand and wondered if I would be interested in a Tag Heuer instead, I said nope and promptly left.

What is interesting is that if you check the Ross Simons and Omega website it still lists them as dealers, and I went so far as to email the company and ask about it, they replied that they have no idea about the local stores and or what they carry.

Just thought it was interesting, another dealer that has dropped (or was let go) Omega and now only carries Rolex, Tag, Baume, and Breitling...I am finding that more dealers which carry Rolex are stopping their Omega contracts (or Omega is stopping with them) at least around here.

Just wondering if anyone noticed the same, thanks
