For some reason Wally Schirra pops in my head. I think I might have seen a Speedmaster on a white strap while I was doing research on Tom Stafford and Wally Schirra a couple of months back.

But here are a couple of other possibilities:

So the last one is a smoking gun... We know white straps exist/existed...
