I find it interesting that winning bid for the Casino Royale Planet Ocean was 250,250 CHF (~206,250 USD), while the winning bid for the Casino Royale Seamaster was 70,800 CHF (~58,350 USD). Do you think that the Planet Ocean sold for over 3 times the Seamaster because it's encrusted with dirt?! If so, then that's probably some of the most valuable dirt on the planet! The sad thing is that the buyer won't even be able to wear the watch without taking a massive valuation hit. It would be interesting to know who won these watches, as well as other watches in the auction.
