The flightmaster is quite a collectable watch.
Condition & Originality are everything in the collecting world. So prices are VERY dependant on this ( olang with extraslike papers/box/receipts etc etc )
I reckon flightmaster prices start at around $800 & the sky is the limit ( As the recent Antiquorum auctions have shown ).
I just did a search of the finished eBav auctions & one sold for $1800, another for $1600 didn't get a bid.
Of the 7 current flightmasters in eBay 2 are way off $1000 ( with plenty of time left ) & the others are somewhere around $1000. - with one exception that has a Buy It Now of $1650.
Your guess for the date is good. The 911 was made between '71 & '73
