Omega seamaster 1000

Hi ,my name is Julian and this is my first post on this notice board.
I have however a simialr report on TZ and the purists and apologise in advance if you have already seen this.
Howver Steve Waddington put me onto this site and I thought it might be interesting for all.

It was a choice between this and a seadweller
Both were waterproof to 1000ft-this is important as I will never take either of them into the water
The seadweller is not really recognisable from any other Rolex. Same case. I know that us WIS can recognise a DR or a PP at fifty feet but to most people its just another Rolex

This watch is much heavier than any other watch I own. It is seriously massive. I usually wear small 33mm vintage pieces so this is something huge

I love the profile of the watch . It sits quite high but is not obtrusive. Yeah right!!

The crystal is flat like a swimming pool.

The minute sword hand reminds me of a military watch but I don't have to get it verified by some-one .
The minute orange hand reminds me of my 1655 Rolex Explorer ll.

Unfortunately thanks to Antiquorum there is minimal price difference between the SD and this watch.

Enjoy
