Re: Pool swimming with Omega SMP
In Response To: Pool swimming with Omega SMP ()

: I've heard that you shouldn't bath with a
: watch, as soap residue eventially gums
: things up, but I've never heard anything
: about frequent pool swimming with a SMP,
: which would expose seals/gasgets to higher
: concentrations of chlorine, bromine, and
: maybe other chemicals. Does anyone think
: occasional pool swimming (1-2 times per
: week, followed by a thurough rinse) would
: shorten the life of the watch seals or
: adversely affect any other part of the
: watch?

I have a 2594.52 and all i can say is that i have swam, snorkeled, dove, showered, bathed, and everything else under the sun. with that said i want to enjoy my watch not treat it like a baby. i have never had one issue with this watch.

i also have an X-33 which i have started wearing daily. i will not do the same type things i do with my 300M water proof watch, but i will get a shower with it, and i have had no issues with this.
