Re: Best place for PO in UK

: Hi Adrian,

: I take it you mean that you are thinking of
: buying it from a bricks-and-mortar
: establishment and not online?

: I went to our local authourised Omega dealer
: and asked them for a PO 2209.50 and they
: tried (like they all do) to charge me
: retail.

: I told them that I would buy it tomorrow if
: they did it for £1525 (it was a while ago)
: as this was the price I had seen it
: elsewhere.

: They agreed. Job done :-)

: You can get it for close to online prices in
: shops and I would buy it from a shop.

: btw - If you go for insurance, don't do it from
: a shop as they tend to go way overboard.
: Stick it on your house insurance (covers
: anywhere use) and it works out at a fraction
: of the cost.

: Hope that helps dude :-)

Thanks, Ive seen them online at various places, (ive seen prices as low as £1460.00 in the UK , and lower in the US, but im wary of import duties etc as ive been caught out before.) also im a bit dubious about buying unseen etc..., Ill try an authorised dealer and see how it goes.

Adrian
