Does the ship look like this?
In Response To: Old Omega. Ship on back. ()

: I have been offered an old omega.
: It has CENTREX above the OMEGA on the dial. It
: was a small Chrono dial at 6oclock.
: Oddly, it has a sailing ship on the back, that
: is covered with thick blue plastic.

Does the Ship look something like this?

If so, then it's probably a Tissot of some stripe as that's what is on the back of this Tissot:

: Around the ship is written Calander
: Waterprotected and a number (18750). THe
: back would not come off, but the watch
: appears to be solid gold (it has a deep
: scratch that is gold all the way. IT has
: ANti Magnetic Automatic on the face.
: I am not sure if this is actually an Omega, or
: some watch tricked up like one.
: The watch opens from the front, and requires a
: special "pressure" omega tool.
: can anyone tell me if i should buy it? they
: want about $300 USD.
: Rick.

: I have pics i can email if you need.
