1963 Blue Bonnet Bowl Logoed Watch - Omega

I'm new to this board -- but while recently shopping for a new "everyday" watch -- I'm looking a new Omega -- the sales person was intrigued my description of a watch I inherited from my Dad.

I presently have an Omega automatic ca. 1963 with a 14k case /stainless back. What's interesting about this watch is that its face has the logo for the 1963 Blue Bonnet Bowl -- a football game that has since faded into history. It was presented to my Dad in recognition of his participation in that event (He was Director of the Marching Band at Louisiana State University at the time). I also have the original polished stainless presentation case.

In the family we also has Omega watches with custom faces logoed from the 1959 Sugar Bowl -- and the 1962-63 Cotton Bowl -- all presentation watches. Though simple watches, I don't think many were made and presented -- I think they went mainly to coaches and perhaps players.

Aside from their intrinsic personal value, are these types of watches commonplace -- and is there any associated value because of their rarity? Any idea if they were made this way at the factory -- or were they modified by a local jeweler?

Just curious....
