Thanks Chuck...here's a wee bit more info:

OK..upon further inspection (pics below), I see that my Mark II bracelet is the 1162/173. It does raise another question...does the original bracelet have the arrows marking the correct direction to push the pins out?? I wonder if the clasp is correct and the bracelet is or is not?

Also - Here's why I mistakenly said endlink. If you look at the next pictures, my Mark IV bracelet is stamped 1162 on the clasp and the last link on each end is stamped 172. Is this correct?
