There is a wise (Chinese/ Confucian?) saying

which I would like to postulate here . Let me quote it first and explain ... and please spare the messenger if you don't agree or like the sound of it - .. The quote is

" To wield an axe on the doorstep of Lu Ban's House".

Lu Ban was a most skillful master axe-man

It literally means to display one's lesser skills before an expert

When we have got Omega Demi-Gods in Chuck Maddox, SteveW62 Waddington, John Rochowicz and others ...I (would) think some newcomers as well as more seasoned enthusiasts, will feel more nervous about uttering something which maybe read as a no-brainer.

I know I did...wrecking my brains to contribute something useful, or at least I think I try (shrug)...

That's one reason anyway
