Can't go wrong with either one

First of all, buy what YOU want, not the wife. The PO is a fine watch and will serve you well, however, its not a chronograph and it hasn't been to the moon. If you need the chrono function and respect the history, get the speedy. If you need an all around rugged watch, I highly recommend the PO.

Problem is ultimately you will desire both watchs. I suggest getting one new from an AD and trying to pick up the other second hand on the forums. Either one should be easily picked up second hand for a decent price.
