What we overwhelmingly male WIS forget is that Omega reputedly sells more watches in the US to women and these are overwhlemingly quartz. (I do not know if this is true in other parts of the world and I cannot quote a source for that remark. My observation is that the local dealers I know tell me they sell close to as many ladies Omegas as mens.)

Omega will never abandon quartz in ladies watches because to do so would be to abandon a huge market. I daresay Omega's margins on quartz watches are a higher percentage than on mechanicals.
