They rarely crop up Sandy.

You may have to buy a clapped out version of the same model to get a caseback and then use the rest of the watch as a parts watch (tho clapped out Connies usually have worn observatory decals). Or get to know an 'old guy' who's spent a life time working with them and has drawers full of parts. Or keep watching on-line auctions
in the hope that one with your caseback number will surface.

The decals are almost impossible to remove without damaging them. The rim that holds it is fused (much in the same way as rolled gold is fused to Stainless steel) to the case back.
