I have a few... *PICS*

Hi Statts,

I have a few Speedies. Nothing like as many as Chuck but more than any sane person needs.

I have a Straight lugged '64 (105.003). this has a pulsations bezel on it, so isn't much help for your needs.

I have a '69, with the normal markings. ( serial number 29,111,xxx )

& I have a '94

I also have various other speedies with Tachy Bezels around them...

& of course I have Buzz's original watch

None of my watches have 220 on the bezel.

I'd compare your watch to a misprinted stamp. In about 5 years of Internet chatting /posting & reading about Omegas, I've never heard of or seen this bezel before.

So I wouldn't guess it's very common. Obviously some people will now be looking for these bezels now, so we may see more.

I have no Idea if this is going to affect your watches value in the same way that misprinted stamp values are affected.

I wouldn't sell the watch.

Interestingly my '69 is also marked 145.022-69 But my serial number is quite a way off yours. I bought mine from the original owner, who told me the watch was bought in about '72. Had never been abused, had never had any parts replaced & it even apologized for not finding its original "blue moon box".

I subsequently found a box for it :-)

Stick around Statts & show us some more of your collection .

Steve
