: I ordered my new Omega watch from the Ad you
: emailed me. I ordered the seamaster pro ref
: 2254. He gave me a great deal. I cant wait
: to get it. That will be my first swiss
: automatic. Any tips on the watch will be
: greatly appreciated!!

No problem, glad to see you picked up the 2254. A couple things to note: Do not change the date between 8pm and 2am, it could damage the date change mechanism. Also, do not set the time backwards. Always try to move the hands forward to set time.

When you get the watch, you should wind it fully before you wear it. After that, if you wear it daily, it should not need to be wound again. Also note that as you wind it, hold it up to your ear. Eventually you will hear a loud click/click. This is the overwind protection and lets you know that its fully wound.

Do not open the HE valve. It is virtually a useless feature unless you do saturation diving. Leaving it open compromises the water resistance of the watch.

If you think of anything else, just email me or post it here. Enjoy your watch.
