Module seperation ....Very interesting though as it seems only the mark 4, 125 and the '4.5' have this?

Thanks for info

Hi Paul, Hi Guys,

I can think of a few other Omegas that have this "puck" type system. I'm currently at work & have no access to my various pictures, so you'll have to believe me ( or try it out at home :-) ).

The Darth Vader / Anakin Walker watches have a "puck". The reason here is obvious. The cases have an very special coating & it was probably easier & cheaper to make a "special" case & put a standard 861 "puck" into it.

Some F300 Divers also have a "puck" type system, although in these models the "puck" is held in place with 4 screws.

& the last one that I can think of is the Speedsonic "lobster" model. This is an absolutely unique case design, so I would guess that this was purely on a cost basis ( Unless Omega had other models that the wanted to introduce, but dropped the f300 Chronograph movement before the models came to production )

I really don't know if the 1040 / 1041 "puck"s ( ie MK 4, MK 4.5 & speedy 125 ) are the same as the 861 "pucks" in the Darth Vader/Anakin watches. If they are, then you could have a 1040 powered Anakin :-) That would look pretty cool.
