I'm pretty much in agreement with Sam. I checked a few of my Catalogues & found a very close match

This scan is from a 1977 UK Catalogue

You don't mention the strap / bracelet type on your watch it's a bit difficult to tell from the picture, but I'd guess your watch is the one marked "d" but with a silver dial.

So. I looked up the Case Ref number 166.0190 in the Omega website & found the following text...

So, what does all this mean ?

You have an Omega Geneve from somewhere between 1974 & 1978. It's a stainless steel case, has the Case reference number 166.0190 & has an automatic 1012 movement in it. It cost 93 GBP in 1977 ( about half of what a Speedmaster cost then )

Finally, you mention that the crystal is scratched. Since it's plastic, you can easily polish the scratches out, by hand.

As you can see there, it is amazing how many scratches you can remove, just using a soft rag & some brasso ( or displex or Polywatch or whatever )

Since you spelt COLOUR with a "U" I assume you are British. I know my mum always had some brasso under the kitchen sink. If not you can buy it almost anywhere in the UK.
