Seamaster GMT Face, Black?

Been thinking about getting a GMT. Went to an authorized dealer this weekend to actually look at one and noticed that the face is more grey or graphite in color, not the dark, dark black that you see in most pictures posted on the net. Is this normal or should the face be a dark, dark black like the Submariner.
