Advice on an SMP GMT bracelet/strap

I really love my SMP GMT, in many ways better than my Sub but really don't like the standard SMP/GMT bracelet on it. It makes the watch too heavy and I dn't like the polished details on it (thus I prefer the Oyster). Short of forking out $400 for the new style bracelet anyone know if sharp strap/band/bracelet what might work on it? I've tried the old striped nylon strap but my wrist is too small the watch too heavy for it. Any ideas whould be much appreciated.
