The only cases of sun fading I have heard of were where a watch sat still in a hot, sunny store window display continiously for a couple of years. But never from being simply worn in the sun a lot.

Honestly, if you are exposed to *that* much sun, then you should be more worried about sun exposure problems on your skin! The watch should be fine in that situation.
