Thirty eight years and ten months ago.... (CHMBI)

Thirty eight years and about ten months ago I guess alot of the guys in the forum were all doing the same thing; sitting glued to a TV set watching the moon landing. I was growing up in South Africa at the time; there was no TV in South Africa until 1976, so I was listening on the radio, probably working on my scrap book of moon articles. I can imagine Chuck was also following it closely.
The interest in space got taken over by interest in formula one a few years later, and I ended up collecting Heuers, but I knew that one day I would have to own a Speedmaster. Once Jeff & OTD had inflated my Heuer collection to stupid levels, I decided it was time for the speedmaster. Before taking the plunge, I spent many hours studying Chuck's articles making sure that when I bought a speedie it would be correct.

So here are the results of my research of Chuck's articles.... I'd like to think he'd think my 38 year old scrapbook is pretty cool as well. Good newspaper photo as it has a speedie in it...

PS: CHMBI = Chuck helped me buy it
