Re: Omega Watch Date Range by Caliber Number? *LINK*

: Hello:

: I am looking at an Omega Speedmaster to purchase as a graduation
: gift for my nephew.

: A watch technician has tested the watch and looked at the movement.

: He says it is a Caliber 321.

: Does anyone here have any idea what year(s) this movement was used
: in the Speedmaster?

: I am looking at a price around $1,000. The watch runs and looks
: very good. Is this a reasonable price?

: Thanks in Advance,

: Clay Hall

The calibre 321 was used from 1957 to 1968. The serial number on the movement (8 digits) can date it reasonably accurately at the link below. The case reference number on the inside of the case back will further identify the watch and allow a closer assessment of its value.

$1,000 is a good to extraordinarily good price for a watch in good repair.
