: Hi. I'm considering to buy this Omega Speedmaster (used) through
: the internet and would like your opinion on this watch. Can you
: tell if it is a genuine or replica just by looking at the
: pictures? It sure is a nice watch. The seller told me he dont
: know which model number this is other than that it is a
: Speedmaster Automatic date. Is it worth $ 1.950? Appreciate your
: prompt response.

Hard to tell from the pics if its genuine or not, but it looks ok to me. Not sure of the ref# but the card that the seller puts up with the model is not correct, so he is being dishonest already. If you have the correct price of $1950US, then no, this watch is not worth that. Here is a link to the same model on Ebay from a trusted seller. My guess is that it will get up to the $1200-$1300 mark, maybe, but I haven't followed auctions on these. Its also a discontinued model as the newer versions are slightly larger, have updated dials and are chronometer certified.
