looking to buy a constellation

I hope you can help, I noticed that ebay purchases are not alway "real" Omega watches. I was looking at the 18k vintage diamond face ss. The back has an observatory with stars. with a number at the 7:00 area. The number ends in 71 so maybe a 1971. How can I tell if it is real? I will take it to a jeweler to have cleaned (battery said newly installed).
This is to be a anniversary gift and M is not happy it is used from ebay. I have always wanted an Omega watch so this will be very special to me if it is real. So any help you can give would help. Thank you
