Re: Omega Restoration
In Response To: Omega Restoration ()

: My grandad has recently given me a rather old Omega Seamaster, I am
: unsure of the model though.... There are two problems with it:

: 1. The day/date cannot be adjusted. You can only set the current
: day/date by winding the hands through 24 hour cycles.
: 2. The bracelet seems to be losing its gold plate and the glass is
: a little scratched.

: I was wondering where the best place would be to get it refurbished
: within the UK. Ideally in Merseyside.

: I was quoted £360 for a 'full service' from a large jewellery
: chain that stocks Omega. Is this a fair price? I don't imagine
: it would include re-plating the bracelet it though, would it?

: Any suggestions how to get this watch back into good shape are
: gratefully appreciated.
