213.30.40.42.01.001 (SMP) vs 2594.52.00 (SMP)

Hi again,

From my previous post you will know that I am looking at purchasing a new Seamaster 300M Chrono diver and that I am uncertain whether to go for the 2594.52.00 or the new 213.30.42.40.01.001. If the 213 had not been COSC rated it would have made the choice easier, I would have probably gone straight for the 2594. However, the 213 is COSC rated so I am finding it hard to choose between them - I think they both look great. So is there anything good or bad about these different models that I need to consider bearing in mind that I want a robust, reliable, sporty looking watch?

Best wishes
Neal

P.S. Assuming neither is fundementally flawed, I intend to visit an AD and try both on before making a final choice.
