Re: Mistaken assumption about Antiquorum and Omegamania

Hi Sam,

So you cannot prove your conclusion, even if it is still an obvious one.

Regardless of the origin of the watches, the ultimate indication of the insignificance of that whole auction with regard to the actual market value of vintage Omega watches, is that few of the sales prices have been realized ever since. And I say that even though some "buy now" prices at these inflated price levels are on Ebay now (as they have been many months before and will be many months after).

That is no proof of Omega having done more than just servicing (or supplying) the watches, it is just very obvious. And in-line with Chucks advise, obvious enough to BE WARE of any (Ebay) seller trying to electrify their product by referring to the Omegamania prices.

If it's any consolation, I'm sure their marketing/brand management is actually more than a little sad that they can never get publicly recognized for what length they have gone to successfully raise the retail values of their products. Credit where it's due: Good job Omega!
