unlucky with 2298.80.00 bracelet HELP!

Hi, I have watch : 2298.80.00 (titanium seamaster chronodiver 300m).
I have had numerous repairs done to the watch (around 8 in 8 years, this i think will be the ninth).

I do not treat it roughly.

This time one of the pins on the clasp has sheared (I have no idea how, it basically fell of my wrist when I moved to take the watch off).

My dealer says 180 uk pounds for a new clasp, and that the pins on the strap need replacing generally, which will be another 30-40 pounds.

I asked them for a quote on the strap from the watch below:

2922.80.91

It's one of the stiched rubber ones in blue.

And they rang me back to say that according to omega the strap would not fit my watch.

Obviously I've over the years spent around 30% of the value of the watch on repairs, and it's really beginning to frustrate.

Can anyone tell me, will that strap really not fit my watch? Apparantly the alligator in Blue will fit, but I wanted something sleek, and genuine omega if possible.

Thank you,
Phil
