Re: Great Report / So Many Questions

: The red numerals are indeed to help "idiot-proof" the
: watch -- don't change the date while the hands are in that area.
: This feature is continued in the Master Perpetual today, as a
: "idiot window" that displays either red or white.

: Incidentally, the watch is set totally from the crown -- there are
: no pushers.

: The 06 is indeed the year, as that's the way the watch was when I
: received it. It took about 7-8 minutes to get it to the current
: date, as it advances three days or so for each turn of the
: crown. Incidentally, at the last service, the day hand and
: moonphase were misaligned by one and eight days respectively.
: The perpetual mechanism works perfectly as I watched the dates
: advance correctly each month, including through this year's leap
: year.

Hi Sam,

I have a question about setting that watch. I've been told that you can only set it ahead and not back. For example, if you accidently advance that watch to the next month, you have to leave it in your drawer for month? Is this true and if so, is this true of all perpetual calendars?

Gorgeous watch...I thought it was a PP at first glance.
