: I am ready to purchase my first Omega and have fallen in love with
: this watch Planet Ocean Quantum of Solace edition.
: I will be buying it from a local AD. My question is, if this
: edition justifies the higher price tag. I can get the regular
: Planet Ocean for significantly cheaper. Should I pay more for
: this? Also, if 5 years down the line I decide to sell it, will
: it hold somewhat of a value? Will the regular version be better
: for investment sakes? I am paying roughly $4000 for this watch
: so I want to be absolutly sure before I buy it. Also, anyone
: know where I can get it cheaper? Thanks again.

The QOS PO seems to be fairly popular, but not sure it will justify a higher price. Reality is that it will probably hold value better than a regular model, but it will also cost more up front, so Im not sure it is overall a better "investment", and most certaily any appreciation will be starting from about a 50% of retail price on the secondary market. It may take many years to increase in value and may never appreciate to what you paid for it, although a popular LE does have a better shot at it. Im sending you an email to a popular Dealer. See what he can do for you.
