He is correct

: I'm interested in the Omega Seamaster America's Cup Chronograph
: watch with the black dial and black bezel.
: Could someone that has the watch tell me whether the chronograph
: pushers are screw downs? A watch dealer told me that even though
: they appear to be screw down pushers, they aren't because you
: can operate the pushers underwater, therefore there's not need
: to have screw down locks to prevent use underwater. He wasn't an
: Omega dealer and didn't have the watch available. Could someone
: with knowledge about this particular watch verify whether this
: is true or not? Thanks

They are not screw down pushers and they are operable under water. They "look" like screw down but this is for aesthetics only. Its a very nice watch, btw.
