Thank's for you inputs. Your advise is sound. It was a special gift and to the extent possible I should, and do want to keep it in its original condition. Besides if I'm concerned with the time all I need to do is consult my cell phone which I have with me at all times. The watchmaker has it. He's European, work with a high-end jewelry store and tells me he was Omega trained. I'm going to go with him. He did give me some information about the watch. 60020 what ever that means, d6315 which apparently is the model number and 579771 which appears to be the serial number. Thank's again for your time (sic).
